Guild CharterTo become a guild member see the recruitment link on the left. The StoryThe NeedThe Guild was founded on the principals of Arthur's great vision. A vision that allowed for every member of the land to live free. Free of tyrannical rule, of overwhelming taxes, and free to live life to the fullest. Arthur had captured pure harmony in his vision, and he succeeded in keeping it alive, until, he was struck down defending it. Arthur's vision wasn't enough to hold the realms together without his guidance. The realms needed their leader and with out him , Chaos reigned. Prince Constantine a good and just ruler has tried hard to re-establish all that Arthur had left behind, but in truth it is a job to great for one man. Even if he could succeed, the risk of losing it all on the death of another was too great. No one man can hold on to something so great, but what if ONE man didn't have too. The WayThe newly founded Church of Albion had rejoiced in crowning Arthur. The church acted accordingly to Arthur's vision. The church was able to rise up stronger after Arthur's "death" and help restore peace with Constantine's army. The Church also believed in the spirit of Arthur's vision. The church was not ONE man. A gathering of the highest clergy in the land was called to address this issue. It was decided that since no one person could hold the spirit of Arthur's vision then no one person should be charged with such a duty. During this meeting a young Curate suggested what everyone was thinking. An order within the churches umbrella of protection. An order dedicated not to Arthur's Name, nor his Crown, nor his glory, an order dedicated to the preservation of his vision, or more accurately, the Spirit of that vision. Several hours later the council had agreed and the young curate who had suggested it was placed in charge of this new order. The order membership swelled and then dropped off as many found the order to be nothing but a carbon copy of the church of Albion. Much to the dismay of the young curate the order was to be disbanded.
The ResurrectionFor the Order to survive the curate had to find what key piece was missing. He began to realize it was the people. As a order within the church there were only clerics and paladins whom were allowed to join, and while they were all good men and women they all shared the same ideas. there was no depth or difference of opinion. He then appealed to the Bishop of Camelot and after several months was given permission to move the order out from under the protection of the church and become a separate guild. Clerics and Paladins would still make up the core members, but others would be allowed to join as well. Since then the newly formed guild has grown with members dedicated, lay-people who feel the urgency of preserving the spirit of Arthur's vision.
The RebirthEventually, The guild known as Espiritu Imperuim, joined ranks with an alliance made of Defenders of Arcadia, Fellowship of the Ring, and Ara Veritas. In the linking of these fine guilds Espiritu Imperium became closer to Ara Veritas. Then after many battles Espiritu Imperium, merged with Ara Veritas, starting a new with new friends and new goals. Thus Ara Veritas 2.0 was born.
